Water Savings Equals Energy Savings

By cutting the amount of water used per year in half, through limiting water use or installing low-flow toilets or showerheads, a family of four will save up to 20,000 gallons of water as well as the energy needed to heat that water. Eliminating the need to heat that water reduces greenhouse gas emissions by more than 300 pounds per year and lowers utility expenses.
